Plato said: Eros leads to Gnosis (higher truth). Very few traditions in the world understand the mystery behind this statement. The Advait Tantraschool of South Africa has a unique way of working with Eroticism and fantasy as a gateway to Awakening of higher knowing. Eroticism and fantasy is directly linked to the unconscious - to that in us which is suppressed. That which is suppressed creates filters in our ability to be deeply present, in life and in love. By consciously exploring eros, we can integrate deeply unconscious aspects of our psyches, move through dualities that pull us out of alignment and come to rest in the truth of who we really are.

In this mini-workshop, we will explore

• The nature of eroticism and fantasy
• How to work with eroticism and fantasy
• How to use eros as a gateway to awakening

The presenters

Rahasya

Rahasya Advait is the Director of the Advait Tantraschool (tantraschool.co.za and advaittantra.com).

He started his exploration of tantra and related teachings in 1983. Most of his practical training was from Osho’s community of tantra teachers. From 2002, since his own completion of the path, he has been teaching tantra. His primary work is to guide a few exceptional women to their flowering as Dakinis truly worthy of the title. He teaches groups and workshops, intensive retreats and in private individuals and couples sessions.

Wendy

"I am one of Rahasya's first students and have been initiated by him into the lineage of the Dakini. In Tibet, a female practitioner of Tantra is called a Dakini, a sky dancer. Skydancing is what happens when a woman's sexual energy starts to move up her body, through her heart and comes showering out the crown of her head .A Dakini is a woman who embodies the sacred power of female sexuality. This power has a peaceful side, a sense of stillness and silence in which nothing stirs and also a wrathful side which is fierce and annihilating in the service of truth".

Shakti

Shakti is a dakini or teacher of the mysteries of Tantra and member of the Advait Tantraschool (tantraschool.co.za). Shakti is based in Cape Town, South Africa but teaches and practices across the world. Her central approach is to enter the totality of experience as a gateway to awakening. Shakti's purpose as Tantric dakini is to facilitate your awakening to the essence of who you really are, while remaining fully functional in your body. Shakti has a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology, a discipline that teaches the practitioner to listen to the reality of groups and individuals from an insider perspective, through immersion in the texture of their lives. She spent many years translating the realities of vulnerable communities to decision makers in government, development organizations and corporates in the fields of poverty management, economic development and environmental management. Shakti’s training as dakini comes through the Advaita tradition and many years of immersion in meditation and conscious body practices.
